Michael Jarvis

Pastor Mike was born in California and raised in Washington state. At the age of sixteen, he heard the gospel and came to saving faith in Jesus Christ. After completing his general education requirements at his local community college, Mike attended Multnomah School of the Bible. He earned his bachelors degree in Bible, with a major in youth ministry. And it was during this same time that Mike met and married his beloved bride, Sharon.

For several years after completing his undergraduate studies, Mike was involved in international missions, traveling extensively overseas and preparing full-time missionaries. It was during this time that God laid it upon his heart to focus primarily on pastoral ministry in the local church and that clarification and conviction then led Mike to seminary in 2000.

Mike attended The Master’s Seminary and graduated with his Master of Divinity degree in 2005. During seminary, both he and his wife had the joy of working full-time on staff at Grace Community Church, where John MacArthur serves as Pastor-Teacher. Since then, Mike has served as an associate pastor in eastern Washington State, and a pastor-teacher at a church in southern California. They have two beautiful adopted daughters, Ellianna and Samaria.
