What should I wear?

The most important thing that you should put on is a heart to love and worship God. We believe that Sunday is the Lord’s Day and we gather for His sake, not our own. Therefore, we encourage people to dress in such a way as to give honor to God, and not to draw attention to themselves. The dress of most people attending Hope falls between their “Sunday best” and business casual, but jeans and t-shirts are just fine.

How many people attend Hope Bible Church?

On any given Sunday, there are typically between 350-450 smiling faces at the church (including kids).

What does it mean to be a Christian?

Check out this page to find out what it means to be a Christian.

How can I become baptized?

Baptism is both a command from God and a joyous opportunity to declare one’s faith. A two-session Baptism Class is offered periodically, with baptisms following subsequently on a designated Sunday morning. Please contact our office if you have not been baptized since you became a believer and want to attend the next Baptism Class.

How can I become a member of Hope Bible Church?

The Bible informs us that all the early believers joined and participated in their local church because of their faith in Jesus and love for other believers. Modern church goers are typically less aware of the Bible’s teachings on church commitments. In light of this we offer an eight week Membership Class multiple times during the year. Newcomers are encouraged to attend the class to learn about HBC. Please contact Pastor Alan Plumley if you have questions or would like to attend the next Membership Class.

How do I get more involved?

The best way to wade into Hope is to begin to attend our various events and get to know our people and teachings. Newcomers are encouraged to attend our worship services and Growing Disciples adult Bible classes on Sunday mornings, Wednesday evening classes, women’s or men’s breakfasts, our youth ministry or other special events.  Once you have come and attended some of these events you may also choose to visit a small group or join a new member class where you will be given a full orientation to the church. Ask about these opportunities at the Welcome Center.
