Welcome! It’s our hope and desire that you find in God and in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, the answer to your life’s needs and quest. We also hope this website provides you the information you need for your visit with us. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, please call us at 443-200-HOPE (4673) Tuesday-Friday from 9 am-5 pm, send us a message, or talk to one of our leaders on Sunday morning.
What is a church if it’s not a place of true hope – a place where you can connect with God and other people of faith and be encouraged by the truth of Holy Scripture?
The Bible is a clear, dynamic, intriguing, fearsome, and life-changing book which brings its readers face-to-face with the Infinite and Almighty Creator.
Our local church focuses on preaching and teaching the Word of God in addition to other distinct areas:
It’s through knowing and believing the words of the Bible that God’s true and glorious person is revealed, His holy wrath against sin is escaped, and the abundant life He generously gives through His Beloved Son, Jesus, is securely gained. And such a life is available to you! Come and learn from the Bible – along with us – about the true life and hope that God grants to those who seek Him.
When you arrive at Hope Bible Church, you’ll be welcomed by our friendly greeters. As you enter through the main doors, walk straight ahead and into the Whitefield Room where our Visitors Center is located. It’s staffed by knowledgeable church members who will be more than happy to direct you to our Worship Center, our children’s classes, or our Bible classes.
At 9:30 am, you’ll be able to visit our Bible class which is held in the Worship Center and also in various classrooms. We spend an hour and fifteen minutes fellowshipping, studying Scripture, and discussing various Christian topics and books (such as Life in the Father’s House or If You Bite and Devour One Another). We also offer classes for children ages infant to 16 during this first period.
Our Sunday morning worship service begins at 11:00am. We also offer children’s Bible classes during the worship service for children ages infant to 7 years.
Following the Sunday service, plan to stick around and enjoy meeting some new people while you enjoy a snack and a cup of coffee. Or, visit the Visitor’s Center where again, you can receive answers, food, drink and a gift.

How do I get there?
You can find directions here and detailed schedule information below.
What should I wear?
The most important thing that you should put on is a heart to love and worship God. We believe that Sunday is the Lord’s Day, and we gather for His sake, not our own. Therefore, we encourage people to dress in such a way as to give honor to God, and not to draw attention to themselves. The dress of most people attending Hope falls between their “Sunday best” and business casual, but jeans and t-shirts are common.
How can I become a member of Hope Bible Church?
The Bible informs us that all of the early believers joined and participated in their local church because of their faith in Jesus and their love for other believers. Modern church goers are typically less aware of the Bible’s teachings about church commitments. Therefore, we offer an eight-week Membership Class multiple times during the year. Newcomers are encouraged to attend the class to learn about HBC. Please contact Pastor Alan Plumley if you have questions or would like to attend the next Membership Class.
How do I get more involved?
The best way to wade into Hope is to attend our various events and get to know our people and teachings. Newcomers are encouraged to attend our worship services, Bible classes on Sunday mornings, Wednesday evening classes, women’s or men’s breakfasts, our youth ministry’s events or other special events. Once you have attended some of these events you may also choose to visit a small group or join a membership class where you will be given a full orientation of the church. Ask about these opportunities at the Visitor’s Center.
