Our Approach

To Church

Our local church emphasizes these distinctives:

  • Expository preaching
  • Word-driven Ministry
  • Commitment to the Solas of the Reformation
  • Biblical counseling
  • Faith in Christ’s Lordship for salvation
  • Global missions mindedness
  • High view of God and worship
  • Family discipleship
  • Love relationships in the body

It’s through knowing and believing the words of the Bible that God’s true and glorious person is revealed, His holy wrath against sin is escaped, and the abundant life He generously gives through His Beloved Son, Jesus, is securely gained. And such a life is available to you! Come and learn from the Bible – along with us – about the true life and hope that God grants to those who seek Him.

What to Expect

When You Visit

When you arrive at Hope Bible Church, you’ll be welcomed by our friendly greeters. Our Welcome Center is staffed by knowledgeable church members who will be more than happy to direct you to our Worship Center, our children’s classes, or our Bible classes.

Following the Sunday service, plan to stick around and enjoy meeting some new people. Or, visit the Welcome Center where you can receive answers, light refreshments, and a gift.

When are your services?

A time of fellowship and Growing Disciples Bible classes begin on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am, followed by our worship service at 11:00 am.

What should I wear?

The most important thing that you should put on is a heart to love and worship God. We believe that Sunday is the Lord’s Day and we gather for His sake, not our own. Therefore, we encourage people to dress in such a way as to give honor to God, and not to draw attention to themselves. The dress of most people attending Hope falls between their “Sunday best” and business casual, but jeans and t-shirts are just fine.

What is there for my children?

How many people attend Hope Bible Church?

On any given Sunday, there are typically between 350-450 smiling faces at the church (including kids).

How can I become baptized?

Baptism is both a command from God and a joyous opportunity to declare one’s faith. A two-session Baptism Class is offered periodically, with baptisms following subsequently on a designated Sunday morning. Please contact our office if you have not been baptized since you became a believer and want to attend the next Baptism Class.

How do I get more involved?

The best way to wade into Hope is to begin to attend our various events and get to know our people and teachings. Newcomers are encouraged to attend our worship services and Growing Disciples adult Bible classes on Sunday mornings, Wednesday evening classes, women’s or men’s breakfasts, our youth ministry or other special events.  Once you have come and attended some of these events you may also choose to visit a small group or join a new member class where you will be given a full orientation to the church. Ask about these opportunities at the Welcome Center.

How can I become a member of Hope Bible Church?

The Bible informs us that all the early believers joined and participated in their local church because of their faith in Jesus and love for other believers. Modern church goers are typically less aware of the Bible’s teachings on church commitments. In light of this we offer an eight week Membership Class multiple times during the year. Newcomers are encouraged to attend the class to learn about HBC. Please contact Pastor Alan Plumley if you have questions or would like to attend the next Membership Class.
